1. Who we are

Unite Gay Network (UGN) is a trade name of Yersal, a sole proprietorship registered in the Netherlands and owned by Mourad Blokpoel (Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 80433391, VAT NL003439927B26). This policy covers unite.gay, network.unite.gay and support.unite.gay.

2. Only strictly necessary cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Our sites only use cookies that are strictly necessary for them to work and to keep them secure. These cookies are set by our website platform Wix and its security provider Cloudflare. They are used to:

- load pages quickly and correctly;

- keep you logged in to the network;

- remember your cookie and language choices;

- protect the sites and your account against bots and fraud.

Because these cookies are strictly necessary, the law does not require your consent for them.

We do not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook, LinkedIn or any similar tracking, and we do not allow third parties to track you on our sites for advertising.

3. Cookies we use

Session and login cookies (Wix): Keep you logged in and your session working. Duration: Session, or until you log out.

Security cookies (Wix): Protect forms and accounts against forged requests. Duration: Session.

Performance and caching cookies (Wix): Load pages correctly and quickly. Duration: A few seconds to a session.

Bot protection cookies (Cloudflare, via Wix): Protect the sites against bots. Duration: Up to 30 minutes.

Consent cookie (Wix): Remembers your choice in the cookie banner. Duration: Up to 12 months.

The exact cookie names can change when Wix updates its platform; they always serve the purposes above.

4. Managing cookies

When you first visit, our cookie banner tells you about our cookies and lets you manage your choices. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you do, parts of our sites, such as logging in to the network, will not work.

5. Changes

If we ever want to use cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first. We post any change here with a new date.
